Jeffrey Chan returns with “Precious”!
In facing his flaws and jealousy issues, Jeffrey Chan releases his new single “Precious”. Following 2018’s “FaultLine“, Jeffrey has released his latest single “Precious”, a synth heavy hook-filled pop track, ventures into new lyrical and sonic territories, as Chan opens up and reflects on his past relationships.
As the lead single from Chan’s upcoming visual EP “FaultLine: AfterShock“, “Precious” is just one of the tracks that explores the underside to seemingly perfect relationships. The accompanying music video (disguised as a behind the scenes photoshoot), also reflects on the unpredictable and temperamental nature of jealousy, through a candid lens.
Giving pop and 00’s influences a modern electronic edge – Jeffrey Chan is a singer/songwriter who is unafraid to push the boundaries. Chan grew up in Sydney, Australia where his passion for music was first ignited through classical piano lessons from the age of 5, but it wasn’t until later when he began to incorporate his piano training with his love for singing and songwriting, into modern pop music. With carefully crafted pop tones, his unique approach to songwriting and his smooth deep tones – Chan has a distinctively unique sound which can be likened to no other.
His self-released 2016 debut “Spectrum”, reflected on his influences growing up, combining elements of eDM, dance, and 80’s pop. As time went on, his style grew to become more wide-ranging, where 2018’s “FaultLine” added on more retro-pop, funk, and dance elements to his sound. Preceded by the release and success of his hip-hop influenced lead single “Porsche” and the 80’s synth-driven “Breathe Heavy”, the album led Chan into new visual and sonic territories.
