Brannlum gets on the “Last Train Home” with Ocean’s Children.
“Last Train Home” is a collaborative effort between Brannlum and Rachel Goh from Ocean’s Children. It plays on the idea of sitting on a train with loved ones, each silently aware that it is their last ride together. The ride marks the end of one chapter of their lives, with everyone getting off at their stop to go their separate ways. The inevitability of time and change leaves people wondering how relationships will change as we enter the next phase of our lives. The song embodies a certain uncertainty and fear when parting ways with familiar faces – not knowing if relationships forged will stay strong or fade away in the years ahead.
We often have to embrace change, while keeping the memories of our past alive, as we board the “Last Train Home”. Last Train Home will be the first single off an EP, slated for 2020. What began as a foray into songwriting has slowly evolved into this project, with Brandon sharing his stories with listeners through electronic music. Brannlum aims to bring them on a journey, driving them on with strong dance beats with uplifting melodies to lift them up. Never one to step away from a challenge, he has collaborated with other artists to bring his ideas to life, ready to share his story with the world through his music.
