McCall asks… “Right?”.
Los-Angeles-Based McCall returns to deliver the femininely sanctified music video to the track “Right?”.
It’s been quite a year for McCall. The 21-year-old’s feature in Fader Magazine led to collaborations with critically-acclaimed producers from the likes of MELVV, Myrne, and Grant, prompting a string of sold-out shows and continuously packed crowds.
Unabashedly emotional, McCall’s lyrics and music tell you all you need to know about the brutally bold and honest artist-songwriter. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, McCall spent her teen years playing open mics and songwriter showcases in Southern blues clubs like Eddie’s Attic. Sometimes the youngest in the room by a decade or more, her survival in the scene depended on living by her incessant mantra “Make Noise,” an appeal to young women and men everywhere to speak their minds and to be bold even when it feels like the world may not be listening.
At 18, McCall moved to Los Angeles to attend USC’s Popular Music Program, where she refined her sound by melding her traditional blues background with contemporary pop and electronic influences. Following up collaborations with MYRNE, Grant, MELVV, and her in-your-face debut single “Why I’m Here”, her 2019 EP “Under The Reign” showcases the whole range her own brand of guitar-laden alternative pop.
