Bara Karin wants you to “F**K Me Like A Robot”!
Sweden has been known for its “Swedish sin” and now it seems like it’s time for another sexual revolution, but a regressive one; political parties discuss porn filters, and the Nofap-movement has become almost like a trend. As a reaction; Bara Karin has brought us a song about what it would be like if porn disappeared and humans were replaced by robots. Quirky and twisted continues to be the Swedish artist Bara Karin’s hallmark.
Her purposefully un-harmonized chords with 80’s synthesizers accompany the both twisted title and chorus, where she sings about the porn industry and the penetration norm, dripping with irony. “F**k Me Like A Robot” was meant to be a song only for the bedroom, but it turns out it’s a song for the clubs and the living rooms – on international Womens’ day she will be playing at Sofar Sounds’ event at a secret address, as always. Still, the future is oral!
