Sam Dickinson releases his version of “Missing”
Good friend of talkaboutpopmusic.com, Sam Dickinson, has released his new single, “Missing”, the second single from his upcoming album “Off Script”, due out in October 2020. “Missing” is his interpretation on the 90’s dance classic by Everything But The Girl. Speaking of his new single Sam said: “When we were recording the album it became clear that the 90’s was a huge inspiration for it’s sound. I wanted to cover a track which represented that era. It’s actually quite a sad song lyrically and I wanted a new generation to hear the brilliance of the song writing and to enjoy the vibe we created for it”.
Sam’s previous releases, including the 2019 single “All We Are” have been played on BBC Radio 2 by the likes of Alan Carr, Paul O’Grady and Graham Norton, the latter saying: “He just keeps getting better and better”. Sam has also had his music streamed almost 700,000 times making him one of the North East’s fastest rising stars. His last single, “Diamond Skin“, was streamed over 80,000 times in one month. The album “Off Script” is also available to pre-order digitally on iTunes and Amazon as well as on CD and limited edition cassette from his website. Sam will also be opening for Gabrielle and Alexandra Burke in 2020!
