Dakota Avenue are “Petrified”!
With over 50,000 streams across their creative catalogue, Dakota Avenue spent 2019 relentless gigging, cementing a modest yet dedicated following. Backed by prevalent Manchester stations XS, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing; 2020 sees the lads drop at least three more tracks. The three northern music graduates hit last year hard with three singles, two sold out shows, and festival slots at Blackthorn, Belladrum, Dot2Dot and Tramlines – plus appearances at the Etihad Stadium and Bridgewater Hall.
Born and bred Bolton boy J explains that since collaborating with producer Andy Gannon (Fickle Friends, Robbie Williams, Clean Bandit), the tracks have that flare we needed. “It’s mint to find someone who truly understands the vibe we want. The songs aren’t heavy, they’re dynamic”. Dakota Avenue are set to release their most hard hitting offering to date on March 27th with “Petrified”, a song highlighting the social pressure of paparazzi, artistic expectation and self doubt. The fear of fame juxtaposed with the passion of placing a meaningful stamp on the music industry.
