Two groups have had unbroken runs of EIGHT chart-toppers. They are Led Zeppelin: from “Led Zeppelin 2” in 1969 to “In Through The Out Door” in 1979.

And ABBA: from their “Greatest Hits” in 1976 to “The Singles – The First Ten Years” in 1982.

Leading solo artists are: Madonna with SEVEN from “Evita” in 1996 through to “MDNA” in 2012.

Robbie Williams with FIVE from “Life Thru A Lens” in 1997 to “Escapology” in 2002.
