Madison Young says “Momma Always Liked You”
Madison Young is a country/pop songwriter from Ellsworth, Maine. Music has been a passion of hers since she was small. She began performing at the age of five and started developing her songwriting skills shortly thereafter. Madison has always enjoyed a close relationship with her family members and it was after the sudden passing of her paternal grandmother that she wrote a song that turned the page into the next chapter of her life.
Although a New Englander at heart, as a recent graduate from the Music Industry program at the University of Southern California, Madison has developed friendships on the West Coast and has spent much of her time working with Los Angeles writers, artists, and producers. She is embracing life as a bicoastal musician.
Madison tells us of her new single, “Momma Always Liked You”: I wrote this upbeat song last summer and worked with my good friend to produce it. Starting as a country track made up of just my vocals and an acoustic guitar, with my friend’s help it morphed it into this fun, synth-infused pop song that is perfect to jam to. It’s my first release, and I’m so excited by the reaction I’ve received from it.
