Rick Astley has recorded a new, stripped back rendition of his debut hit single “Never Gonna Give You Up” as part of his expanded “The Best Of Me” greatest hits album.
This new version set to a piano and recorded live in a studio at the same time giving atmosphere to the song some 33 years after it was released in June 1987.
“Never Gonna Give You Up” hit number on on both sides of the Atlantic that year and kick-started a huge Pop career for Rick, which he gave up in the 1990’s, only to return and put himself back on top in 2016 with his album, “50”.
