Sam Dickinson is “Off Script”
“Off Script” is the fourth single from the upcoming second album from talkaboutpopmusic.com regular Sam Dickinson, of the same name, due in October 2020. The song is pure pop reminiscent of post 2000 George Michael, Sam Smith, Mika and Years & Years. The track is about following your own path in life and not what other people choose for you. Originally, it was intended to be released in the run up to Northern Pride, which Sam was due to play alongside Gabrielle.
“Off Script” is the second album from the Newcastle born singer–songwriter. Having already teased the album with the singles “Diamond Skin“, his take on the Everything But the Girl classic “Missing” and the disco infused “Cry Wolf“, he has amassed over 800,000 streams of his music across all platforms. He has been played on the UK’s biggest radio station, BBC Radio 2, multiple times by the likes of Alan Carr, Paul O Grady, Melanie Sykes and Graham Norton, who also said “he just keeps getting better and better”.
2019’s “All We Are” was also picked up by Spotify’s editorial team and added to playlists with over 1.5 million followers. All of his songs combined have been added to Spotify playlists with followers in excess of 3 million followers. He is one of the North East’s fastest rising stars. The album “Off Script” is also available to pre-order digitally on iTunes and Amazon as well as on CD and limited edition cassette from his website. Sam will be opening for Alexandra Burke and Gabrielle in 2021. He is currently writing for artists signed to Sony and Universal Records!
