Kygo is back with another sypathetic rework of an old classic, this time it’s Donna Summer’s 1979 hit “Hot Stuff”, which gets an overhaul, following on from his previous successes with “Higher Love” and “What’s Love Got To Do With It?“.
“Hot Stuff” was recorded for her album “Bad Girls” and released as a single in April 1979, topping the US singles chart and getting to No.11 in the UK. The song was also a number one in Australia, Canada, Japan and Switzerland and a top ten success elsewhere.
As yet the track does not feature on a Kygo album, unlike “Higher Love” did on his 2020 release “Golden Hour”, which features his smash hit with Onerepublic, “Lose Somebody” and “Like It Is” with Zara Larsson.
