The Pulse debut with “Poltergeist”
UK band The Pulse have just launched their debut single, “Poltergeist”, and it’s not a spooky as it may sound! This is a fusion of electro-indie which blends elements of The Killers with The Human League and it really works with a fast moving soundtrack that could eaily be set in the mid-1980’s as well as the 1990’s.
The Pulse – Brandon Long, Ed Kirk, Joe Greenough and Tom Dunnett – formed the band in 2019 to escape their “mundane day jobs” and have been working hard at material ever since. The band and indeed their name was born from a conversation Brandon had with his music lecturer when at college, who advised “you’re not trying to find a melody when you’re writing a song, you’re trying to find a vein that’ll take you somewhere, you’re trying to find the pulse”. And so The Pulse were born. “Poltergeist” infuses every obe of those elements to produce a worthy and highly individual first taste of this very promising band to watch out for…
