Spotify Top Tip: Don’t Neglect Your Spotify ‘About’ Page
Here at Talk About Pop Music one of our major frustrations is when artists don’t have details on the ‘About‘ page on their Spotify profile!
Why?
If we are listening to a song on Spotify and want to tag it on Facebook post or share it on Twitter, it’s so much easier to go to the artists ‘About’ page and click on the social media links directly from there.
When there are no links it sometimes takes too long to find the Facebook page or Twitter account so we simply have to give up and the artist misses out on a mention.
There’s a Bio section which allows us to find out more about the artist if we need to write a feature about them.
There’s other info such as Monthly Listeners and Followers -which we can help increase if you ask us nicely 🙂
It’s also a great way to find out playlists that might be of interest to you and where other people who are listening are located.
It’s a no brainer to keep it up to date!

If you don’t have these details on your About page then do it now or if it’s your publicist that does it then tell them to do their job properly and get them to update it for you.
Spotify have very kindly created a great FAQ section for all things you can do with your Spotify Artist profile so it shouldn’t take you too long to get it updated.
