Boom Dice teams with Charlotte Hannah with “Confidence”
Boom Dice wrote the beat that underpins “Confidence” in 2019, and was searching for over a year for the right type of voice to match its vibe, when he found the ‘crispy, pop shine’ of Charlotte Hannah through a recommendation. Charlotte fell instantly in love with the beat – envisioning the sounds of Vogue, London Music Scene and City Nights. To her, it felt new and revolutionary and inspired her to write “Confidence”.
Working remotely for the first time, Boom Dice kept in touch with Charlotte over video chat during the writing process to formulate the final version of “Confidence”. The track was recorded at Bryan’s studio in London. Charlotte hasn’t written a track like “Confidence” before, but wanted it to represent and include people of all genders, sexualities, race, body size and minorities, to empower & inspire a stronger sense of self assurance.
Boom Dice; AKA Bryan Wilson, is a Grammy-nominated Producer, Songwriter, Mixer & Artist. He has worked with globally acclaimed artists such as Sofi Tukker, Stormzy, Disclosure, John Newman, Wolf Alice, Lianne La Havas, Mabel and Jay Electronica w/ Jay-Z. Aside from his multi Grammy nominated work with Sofi Tukker, Boom Dice has been heavily involved with their new label ‘Animal Talk, as a writer, producer, and mixer – establishing himself as the go to ‘finisher’ at every stage of a project for artists like Boii and L.A based DJ LP Giobbi (front woman for the Femmehouse initiative, who champion women in the music industry).
22-year-old Charlotte Hannah is from Yorkshire, UK and has already worked with multiple big names including Tom Barker and Eliot Kennedy from the world-famous Steelworks Studios. Both a singer, songwriter and director, Charlotte is supported by BBC Introducing and has shared lineups with the likes of Gary Barlow, Fleur East, Ella Henderson & Jonas Blue. Her quaint countryside upbringing starkly opposes her stand-out, vibrant image – since she was little, Charlotte dreamt of being a singer and performing to people.
