Twobox. says “Life Is Just (So Quiet Without You Here)”
Synth-Pop, New Wave
UK singer, songwriter and producer Nicholas Langdon made his debut in 2019 under the name of Twobox. with the single, “Kiss Politics”. Today, he releases his down-tempo new track, “Life Is Just (So Quiet Without You Here)”.
“Life Is Just (So Quiet Without You Here)” is a about missing someone you love deeply and being stuck in a situation where you can’t see them and about how life can feel so quiet when someone important is missing from your life.
The song is typically understated and a stripped back piece of synth-pop with melancholic vocals and words to sum up the feelings of missing that someone who has been your world.
Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of musical styles, Twobox. takes cues from eighties pop and mixes them with contemporary alt-pop and indie rock to create a unique sound, partly owing to his bass vocal range, which has drawn comparisons with Joy Divisions’s Ian Curtis. Nicholas’ musical philosophy is underpinned by a desire to be au-thentic and vulnerable, particularly when writing lyrics that talk about his own personal feelings and experiences, often finding solace in ‘discussing’ his thoughts musically.
