Scottish band Cloud House have already made a stamp on 2021 with not one, but TWO new tracks! “Signs” is their second single, following 2019’s debut, “Just Drive”.
“Signs” is a gloriously British indie-rock-pop tune with superbly clear vocals from lead singer Conor McCarry and a real retro feel to the backing track with a spirit all of its own.
Glasgow based Cloud House – Conor McCarry, Patrick Wallace, Calum Wray and Jack Hughes – take their name from the lyrics of the late Scott Hutchison. They are inspired by fellow Scottish artists such as Biffy Clyro, Twin Atlantic and Frightened Rabbit; this is demonstrated through their distinctive, signature sound of catchy guitars riffs and raw, heartfelt lyrics. Other artists which inspire them include The 1975, Snow Patrol and LANY.
“Signs” tells the story about a relationship gone wrong, and giving your all to something but knowing the other person has moved on. The track is the first to come from their debut EP, “Days Changed”, due to be released on 26th February 2021. The EP will also feature the second track released, “73”, a deeper track that has reverberations of early Simple Minds about it. Both tracks have almost been released back to back, Cloud House intened to make 2021 THEIR year. Watch out for them as they grow and grow…
