Texas based alt-pop-rock band Haunter release another smashing slice of loud pop with their new single, “Illuminate”. today.
The band, who we met with their last release of 2020, “Risk It All“, really pile on the power vocals and bass with this relaxed, soft-rock production, once again showcasing lead singer Lucy’s Avril Lavigne style vocals.
Haunter closed 2020 off with a remix of their earlier single, “Miss Me”, with the Future Bass/Trap remix featuring alt-R&B singer RILEY and rapper CoMiikz. “Illuminate” is produced/co-written/mixed/mastered by two time Grammy nominated producer Tyler Smyth, whose credits include LIGHTS, I Prevail and Falling In Reverse and takes the band into a full year now of releasing outstanding and explosive rock/electro-pop tunes since their debut with “Love You Better” at the beginning of last year.
The band say of “Illuminate”: “’Illuminate’ at it’s core a love song. We wanted to write a song about those quiet moments in a relationship when you take a breath and realize that you’ve fallen completely and hopelessly in love with your partner. Something as they way they look at you ignites this response. We’re always sort of fascinated about that magic”.
“Illuminate” is only the first of a string of new tunes the band have lined up for 2021 along with some live stream concerts. Bassist Mark Schroeder adds: “2020 was such a wild year for us. The whole world was rocked by the ongoing pandemic and it really threw a ton of uncertainty our way. We are fortunate to be in a place where we could release these songs. It’s been amazing to see how our songs are connecting with people. We’re thankful for everything. When it’s safe to put on live shows, you can bet we’re going on the road and seeing everyone we can!”. And that is something that will make the sight and sound of Haunter even more worth looking forward to.
