Robbie Williams ‘new’ album is out! His ‘reimagined’ greatest hits, “XXV”, features orchestral and stripped back new recordings of many of his best loved and biggest hits, including “Kids”, his 2000 duet with Kylie Minogue. Both Kylie and Robbie have re-recorded their vocals for the new album, 22 years on from the first occasion.
The anthemic “Kids” featured on Robbie’s “Sing When You’re Winning” album and Kylie’s “Light Years” album of 2000 and saw commercial release in October that year, peaking at No.2 in the UK. “Kids” was a top ten hit across most of Europe and a No.14 charting single in Kylie’s home country of Australia.
Although Robbie has rarely performed the track for his live shows, “Kids” has become a staple of Kylie’s tours and appearances including her Glastonbury set in 2019 and is usually performed with her backing singers and audience participation. “XXV” also features two new songs, “Lost” and “Nobody Someday”, the former having been released in support of the album in August.
“XXV” is out now with the deluxe edition featuring 3 further new tracks
