FRESH: ‘Love This Christmas’ – Rick Astley

Jumping on the bandwagon of catchy Christmas songs is Rick Astley. Back in 2020, he released “Love This Christmas” and now two years on, it’s out on vinyl!

Written, recorded and produced by Rick himself during a period of lockdown during the global pandemic, the track is a joyous, upbeat ode to remind us of all the good things about Christmas.

“Love This Christmas” is the perfect antidote to those post-pandemic blues. The song is backed by another of Rick’s Christmas singles, “When I Fall In Love” from 1987, his incredible cover of the Nat King Cole classic which got to No.2 in the UK that year. The reverse cover features the original artwork and the vinyl also includes “My Arms Keep Missing You”, the double-A side single from the 1987 Christmas track.

Rick has been in America for most of 2022 touring with New Kids On The Block, En Vogue and Salt’N’Pepa as part of the now established Mixtape tour, but he has recently been seen in the studio with noted producer Trevor Horn, so expect something new from him next year! It’s been four years since his last studio album, “Beautiful Life”, and three since his career collective, “The Best Of Me”. The question is, is the best of Rick yet to come…?
