take that greatest day

THEN & NOW: ‘Greatest Day’ – Take That

Take That have joined up with Calum Scott and German DJ/producer Robin Schultz for a new version of their 2008 chart topper “Greatest Day” in advance of the new musical that will be hitting the big screen this Summer that uses the groups music as the soundtrack.

‘Greatest Days’ is directed by Coky Giedroyc, sister of comedian and television presenter Mel, and stars Aisling Bea, Alice Lowe, Amaka Okafor and Jayde Adams. The soundtrack and the premise of the film is centred on That That’s musical journey, which is executively produced by Gary, Howard and Mark.

“Greatest Day”, the song, was the lead single from the band’s 2008 album “The Circus”, It charted at number one in the UK and has sold over 600,000 copies to date. Robin Schultz is something of a coup for the boys, who are currently writing and recording their next album, their first since “Wonderland” in 2017, which is scheduled for release later in 2023.

Schultz made his name in 2014 with the global number one “Waves” and followed that with “Prayer In C”. He has recently worked with James Blunt, Paul Van Dyk and David Guetta and returned to the charts in 2022 with “Miss You”.
