THEN & NOW: James Blunt

It’s taken him four years, but James Blunt is on the way back with a brand new album and the first single from it is called “Beside You”, an uptempo, Pop-Dance number quite unlike anything he’s dished up before. James has worked with Clean Bandit, Marshmello and James Arthur on the track to give it an edge, so expect something lively and infectious.

His new album is called “Who We Used To Be” and it follows his last long player, “Once Upon A Mind” back in 2019, which went to No.3 in the UK and was Gold certified. The album produced the hit single “Monsters” and saw James take to the road the following year, only to be cut off by the Covid pandemic. Now freshed and ready to go again, the 49 year old former soldier is hopeful for better luck with this one.

His new album will be delivered almost twenty years since he first popped up with his mega hit “You’re Beautiful” and his multi million selling debut album “Back To Bedlam”. Since then he has released “All The Lost Souls” (2007) and enjoyed further hit singles with “Goodbye My Lover”, “1973” and “Bonfire Heart”, the Platinum certified lead single from “Moon Landing”.
