While Claire Richards charges ahead with her album “Euphoria”, Steps’ Lisa Scott-Lee is looking back 20 years to her debut solo album, “Never Or Now”, which is getting a full and official release this Autumn, in expanded form and with previously unheard songs, one of which is “24/7”, which Lisa has premiered today.
With Steps taken a hiatus in 2002, all five members were free to do what they wanted and Lisa was quick off the mark with her superb Summer 2003 smash, “Lately”, which made the UK top ten. Having spent plenty of time recording and re-recording material, Lisa’s finally completed album was ready for released in 2007. But it was not to be as the album was shelved at the last minute, only to see the light as a digital download.
Now thumping back with gusto and vigor, Lisa is release to release the album, in full and in greatly expanded form at long last and with tracks like “24/7”, it promises to be a memorable one. With the help of Pete Waterman, Lisa and the gang got their first hit in 1997 with “5-6-7-8” and registered their first number one a year later with their version of “Tragedy” along with their heart-felt ballad “Heartbeart”.
