It’s been four years since we last hooked up with Mason Murphy so shame on us! He’s not been idle, however, and his latest single, “Another Heartbreak”, is out now.

Since we featured Mason back in 2019 with “No Apologies” and “Basement“, Mason has released his debut album and scored a big hit with “Sick Of You”.

2023 has seen him release awesome tunes “Monorail”, “Empty” and “He Would Say”, before teaming up with fellow American Parker Rudd for “Sick Of You”, which has been streamed over 6 million times to date! Mason himself followed his long player debut, “From The Basement” in 2020, with two EP’s as his career has gone from strength to strength. “Another Heartbreak” is another lonesome, heartfelt tear-jerker, witha ll the hallmarks of Mason’s style and production all over it.

And you know Mason has really made it as Spotify have pulled together 24 of his own compositions for their playlist, “This Is Mason Murphy“! And with it has come new collaborations with Obi Ben “Sign” in 2022, Jordan Jack on “Sadie” in 2021 and three with Parker Rudd to date, all of which form their joint EP, “Blue Dreams”. The Utah born and based singer/songwriter, who was once a ‘bedroom guitar player’ is no longer as his scope extends and his star shines even brighter.

Based in Salt Lake City, Mason picked up the guitar at ten and never put it down. Initially inspired by the game Guitar Hero, Murphy spent his time becoming an actual guitarist with a passion for songwriting. He even walked away from a promising college career playing golf to focus on music full-time. He released his first song, “City Girl”, on SoundCloud in 2016. A strong debut that received 150,000 plays on the platform. Since then, Mason has been honing his skills, playing live, and putting his music out online. and it’s working! We promise not to leave it too long before featuring him again!
