We were there when Nicolas McCoppin released his debut album, “Loverboy“, and we’re back with his comeback single, “More Like U”!

Nicholas has just unveiled his stunning sophomore project, “Mind Motel”, and with a mission to create space for himself in pop music, McCoppin offers a fresh perspective on a timeless genre.

His catalogue is characterised by deeply personal storytelling mixed with an impressive vocal ability and songs that are as emotionally impactful as they are danceable – with a razor sharp aesthetic sensibility and partnerships with fashion houses like Moschino Couture tying the project together. 2021-22 was a standout year for McCoppin, with an official US radio debut of his single “Heaven”.

Nicolas’ latest project is a record of loss and love, painstakingly documenting the journey of losing creative and romantic soulmates while searching for the exit door from a past self. Focus track “Deep End” was the last song written for the project, an ode to new love, new lives, and new heartbreaks.

Moody synths and industrial tinged drum samples underpin his compelling vocal performances throughout the release, creating a sinister but vibrant sonic tapestry. This is a more than worthy successor to his 2020 opener, which featured the hit singles “Stuck” and “Ur Love”, as Nicolas delves deeper into Electro-Pop and Synth-Pop sounds with much more confidence.

Driving dance beats and bright moments punctuate the darkness with an earworm quality that dance and electro fans will love. All nine songs deliver a catchy melody while emphasizing the emotional core of the lyrics, showing yet again that McCoppin delivers pop music that is more than the sum of its parts.
