Lucie has a proven track record of being able to deliver a stunning performance on the stage – maybe, just maybe this could be a good year for the UK?

OPINION

Despite an initial underwhelming response to the six entries picked for the UK I have kind of grown to this song. She has a fantastic voice – and can belt it out live which is extremely important. I like the song and the lyrics…but there’s just something missing still. It needs a beat at around the 1:11 mark. Some kind of drum loop or something. It’s not just me that is of that opinion – Twitter is crying out for this to happen so surely there’s still time? Do that and it could at least have a hope of being noticed and voted for.

PREDICTION

As it stands it’s not going to come last and could teeter between the left and right hand side of the leader board. Make some improvements and it could be a serious contender!

LYRICS

“Tell me your secrets, I’lll keep them safe
No sign of weakness, it’s a sign of faith
We’ll stand tall so you don’t fall

You’re not defeated, you’re in repair
Don’t have to call me, I’ll always be there
We’ll stand tall, so you don’t fall

If you could see how far you’ve walked
You would see that’s all not lost

I will never give up on you
I don’t care what I’ve got to lose
Just give me your hand and hold on
Together we’ll dance through this storm
I will never give up on you
You’re the one that I’m running to
Just give me your hand and hold on
Together we’ll dance through this storm

Under the surface, I see you glow
I’m right beside you, you’re never alone
Don’t let go, when you’re so close

If you could see how far you’ve walked
You would see that’s all not lost

I will never give up on you
I don’t care what I’ve got to lose
Just give me your hand and hold on
Together we’ll dance through this storm
I will never give up on you
You’re the one that I’m running to
Just give me your hand and hold on
Together we’ll dancing through…

This madness, we’re running through
This magic, it’s inside of you
It’s madness, it’s madness…

Now you can see how you’ve walked,
The mountain climbed, the oceans crossed

I don’t care what I’ve got to lose
Just give me your hand and hold on
Together we’ll dance through this storm
I will never give up on you
You’re the one that I’m running to
Just give me your hand and hold on
Together we’ll dance through this storm”

  2. Don’t you think she has the look of Sophie Webster about her? I’m growing to like the song the more I hear it, but I don’t think it’s going to be the winner. BTW – I’d think about removing the lyrics from this post, as unless you have permission to use them then you could have problems with copyright infringement. Just a piece of advice I picked up from another blogger who knows a lot about these things and has even written a book about it.
