Eurovision 2017 – Slovenia
The Slovenia song is called “On My Way” and performed by Omar Naber.
ARTIST
It’s the second time that Omar Naber will hit the Eurovision Song Contest stage in Kyiv as he represented Slovenia already in 2005 with the song Stop. He’ll try to reach the Grand Final for the first time though, as twelve years ago he finished in 12th place in the Semi-Final.
He started his music career when he was 18 years old. He has released three solo albums over the years and has given over 900 performances in 27 countries. Omar is a regular fixture on radio playlists and regularly participates in charity concerts and events. He is currently working on a new solo album, which will have the same title as his song for Eurovision 2017, On My Way.
SONG
‘On My Way’ won the national selection on 24 February 2017 where a total of 8 artists tried to take the prize.

OPINION
Another ballad but this time it’s a bloke singing. He almost gets the award for ‘best rhyming’ but since there’s still more entries to come so let’s park that for now. It’s not terrible but it’s quite dated and it makes me want to go and look out some Glen Medeiros songs…
