FRESH: ‘Candlelight’ – Jack Savoretti

Jack Savoretti launches his new single “Candlelight” and a new album in 2019!

Hot on the heels of his smash hit duet “Music’s Too Sad Without You” with Kylie Minogue, singer and songwriter Jack Savoretti has released his brand new track “Candlelight” ahead of his forthcoming sixth studio album “Singing To Strangers” early in 2019.

“Candlelight” is co-written with Joel Potts (Athlete, Ezra) and is a heartfelt epic that once again showcases Savoretti’s gritty and very masculine vocal, equally at home with tragedy as well as unashamed romance. “Candlelight” is the first taster of his new album “Singing To Strangers”, which is released on 15th March 2019 and is Jack’s third release for BMG, following his hugely successful albums of 2016 “Sleep No More” and 2015’s “Written In Scars”.

Jack first hit the charts back in 2006 with his debut single “Without” and the album “Between The Minds”, and despite the success of “Without”, the album only reached No.70 in the UK. He followed this up with “Harder Than Easy” (2009) and “Before The Storm” (2012), which included such gems as “Hate And Love”, “Map Of The World” and “Take Me Home”. But it was “Written In Scars” that truly launched Jack to a winder audience together with the singles “Home”, “Back Where I Belong” and the outstanding “Catapult”.

“Sleep No More” delivered further hits with “When We Were Lovers” and “I’m Yours”. Both “Written In Scars” and “Sleep No More” were later reissued in expanded forms with live and acoustic tracks, which sets Jack apart from his peers and contemporaries. In 2017 he duetted with Italian singer Elisa on the track “Waste Your Time On Me”, included on her ninth studio album “On” and in 2018 he co-wrote and recorded the song “Music’s Too Sad Without You” with non other than Kylie Minogue, which was featured on her fourteenth studio album “Golden”.

“Singing To Strangers” is produced by Cam Blackwood (George Ezra) and was recorded in Rome at Ennio Morricone’s studio this Summer (2018). And with three months to go until the 12-track album is out, be certain that there will be more songs released between now and then!
