‘Doctor Who’

By Steve

“Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC since 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called “the Doctor”, an extraterrestrial being, to all appearances human, from the planet Gallifrey. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. Accompanied by a number of companions, the Doctor combats a variety of foes while working to save civilisations and help people in need.”

I’ve been a fan of Doctor Who ever since I can remember. From the classic era to the modern era I’ve been hooked on the adventures of this awesome Time Lord.

With the new season only days away the excitement is getting strong with me!

THE SONGS

The song featured in the trailer for the new season is ‘It’s A Good Day To Save The World’ by Danger Twins.

There’s not so many songs in the classic era shows but there are a few awesome songs played in the modern era episodes.

Two of my favourite songs are ‘I Can’t Decide’ by The Scissor Sisters when it was used in this scene…

…and ‘Voodoo Child’ by Rogue Traders when used in this scene…

As well as the songs, the instrumental soundtrack is pure perfection and never fails to pull on your heart strings…

The theme used in the end of this scene is called ‘Doomsday’…

And then there’s this tearjerking moment…

The song used here is ‘Chances’ by Athlete and the theme used in this episode is called ‘With Love, Vincent’

If you love the show, and the music as much as I do then we have created two playlists for your listening pleasure.

Enjoy!

This first one features all the songs used in the episodes…

This one is the instrumental soundtrack…
