New Order have just released a new single, “Be A Rebel”, but in addition to that have reissued and remastered their best known song, “Blue Monday” at the same time.
“Blue Monday” was originally released in 1983 and took some time before it found an audience. The track was remixed in 1988 and became a top five hit in the UK, and has been used countless times on TV and film and in advertisements.
The song was also mixed into Kylie’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” in 2002 for her Fever world tour, becoming “Can’t Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head”.
