FRESH: ‘Home’ – CJ Hammond

CJ Hammond likes “Home”

US singer CJ Hammond has just released his new single, “Home”, all about how the home is more of a feeling more than a particular place or person. It is a feeling that brings peace and contentment to CJ’s heart. “Home” is the fifth release from the LA based artist in 2020 and follow on from “Yah”. “Home” is tender and dreamy with an unobtrustive beat as the backdrop to CJ’s amazing vocals that just carry away all around you and off into the distance.

Of “Home”, CJ says: “For me, home isn’t necessarily a place, it’s a feeling. It’s a feeling of peace and love in my heart. Home for me is my family, friends, and my faith. To each their own in what it means, it’s a personal interpretation. I hope this song brings you that feeling”.

“Home” was recorded in LA where CJ has been fortunate to work and collaborate with various chart topping, award winning andnominated producers, writers and musicians such as Mark Rodriguez, Arif Elahi, Andrew Joslyn, Steven Felix among others. CJ works with his own band on all of his tracks, which includes composer and producer and NAACP Theater Image Award nominee Mark Rodriguez on keyboards, Chris Vincent and Arif Elahi on guitars, Carl McDowell on bass, Matt Booher on drums and Grammy-Nominated songwriter and producer Andrew Joslyn on Strings.

CJ arrived on the music scene in 2019 with his debut, “Throne” and has delivered a number of songs ever since – check out his version of Procol Harum’s “A Whiter Shade Of Pale”, done as a jazz/soul number. His first release of 2020 saw him team up with producer Cobe Jones for the song “Jungle” while “One More Time” saw him team up with electro-pop singer Adara.
