Aaron Yorke remembers a “Difficult Year”
Worcester based acoustic, folk-pop singer and songwriter Aaron Yorke releases his new single, “Difficult Year”, today, as he remembers a very difficult year for us all in 2020. The song is Aaron’s fifth and final release of this year and is a piano driven ballad with power vocals with the accompaniment of a duo of strings, sung and produced with heart and soul from Aaron to us all.
Aaron tells us of the song: “This year will always be remembered as the moment the whole world stood still. For me it is also the moment I made some changes for the better, and never looked back”. Aaron made his first steps in the industry back in 2006 with the album, “Taking The Time To Heal”. With plenty of radio play and live performances, Aaron received the award of ‘Best Unplugged Act 2007’. He then went onto support Leona Lewis, Scouting For Girls, and McFly at the BRMB Christmas lights show, and also performed live on BBC Children in Need in Birmingham, and headlining the BarFly.
Aaron then turned his craft to music production. Despite the shift from live gigging to the studio, he still regularly uploaded tracks to radio stations and has so far performed live for both Worcester and Birmingham shows BBC Introducing show. He released his album, “Lion”, in 2016 and the following year his track “Fireman” made it onto the Best of BBC Introducing where he got to perform a live set at LakeFest. Aaron made his return proper in 2020 with the song “Satellites”.
