Kirkcaldy, Fife singer and songwriter Holly Roseanna has taken four years to follow up her debut EP “The Candyfloss”, but at long last she has new music to share!
Her brand new single, “Eden”, is a cry to protect our coastlines and forests as well as the environment all around us. This world. This eden.
Holly’s strong and powerful vocal relays her love and passion for the natural beauty of Tentsmuir Forest which is close to her own home and where the video for this new song was shot. The forest is a protected area and provides a habitat for lots of important wildlife such as seals, seabirds, dragonflies and butterflies. Holly uses the beauty of this track, which is part Country, part Folk and part traditional, to empower all of us to think about our own special places and also the protect and preserve as much of it as we can.
Talking about “Eden”, Holly says: “Naming the track ‘Eden’ was a nod towards the Eden estuary, as well as highlighting the very Eden-like, tranquil atmosphere of Tentsmuir Forest. In addition to putting a spotlight on the area’s natural beauty, I also wanted to focus on the wider issues of the climate emergency and the impact this is having on our coastsand waters. I think it’s important for us all to play our part in protecting our natural treasures so that they can be enjoyed for generations to come”.
