Canadian producer and DJ Lomus Rai Lomaticc Babber calls himself ‘Sickick’ and he’s making quite a name for himself both as a remixer and writing his own original material. His most recent ‘conquest’ has been a rap version of Madonna‘s 1998 comeback hit, “Frozen”.
Converting an already dark and brooding epic would be some feat for anyone to do, but he manages to give the tune a different air as well as injecting his own personal stamp upon the song, which has also been given full approval by the lady herself!
After a number of years of lacklustre releases, “Frozen” saw Madonna back at the top of the charts around the world and was the opener to her “Ray Of Light” album, which saw her make a bold departure from the norm with British producer William Orbit at the helm. The song topped the UK singles chart and peaked at No.2 in America in February 1998.
