KEiiNO return with the rhythm, “Ritma”
Electro-Pop
Having posted a number of cover songs in the past few years, Norwegian trio KEiiNO are back with something brand new with “Ritma” (The Rhythm). The track follows “Alt du kan se” released earlier this year.
“Ritma” is a glorious fast-moving electro-pop number with a mixture of echoing vocals from Tom and haunting vocals from Alexandra with a dance-orientated, euphoric ‘rhythm’ to the choruses.
It’s four years since KEiiNO represented their country at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with “Spirit In The Sky“, which came in sixth on the night. Since then Tom, Alexandra and Fred have churned out a stream of songs, some their own, some other peoples, which have included Whitney’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”, Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers Licence“, Kylie’s “On A Night Like This” and most recently, a-ha‘s “The Sun Always Shines On TV”.
KEiiNO have been on tour this year across Europe and the UK with more to follow this Summer and they’ve been supporting this year’s hopeful Alessandra in her bid for glory with her song “Queen Of Kings”. Norway haven’t had a winner since 2009 when Alexander Rybak took the crown with “Fairytale”, although KEiiNO themselves bagged a very respectable 210 points. To date, KEiiNO have only graced us with one studio album, “Okta”, in 2020. So perhaps “Ritma” is the first of a new era for them…?
