FRESH: ‘Victoria’ – Ollie Wride

Ollie Wride, the voice of retrowave group FM-84 and bonafide solo artist, has just released his brand new single, “Victoria”, and it’s in keeping with what we have come to know him for.

The song is his first new solo work since “A Matter Of Time” in 2021 and his debut solo album, “Thanks In Advance“, that we featured back in 2019.

Having regaled us with awesome vocals on FM-84 bangers like “Running In The Night” and “Never Stop”, Ollie went solo and has given us a number of similar, superb tracks to feast on, “Victoria” is no exception as the track serves as the lead single from his follow up long player, expected later this year.

Ollie will be playing his first solo concert in America on June 15th at the Troubadour in Los Angeles where he will perform “Victoria” as well as previous favourites from a career that now spans nearly a decade of recording and performing. Based in Brighton, Ollie has toured Europe and the UK extensively along with FM-84 and as a solo artist so his set in LA will be well crafted and honed.

“Victoria” is released on NewRetroWave Records in keeping with his previous music, home of everything retro and synth mid-80’s sounds in the 21st century. Ollie has been working with writers and producers Chris Zane, Arcades, James F. Reynolds and Adam Sinclair on his new album so it’s likely to have another huge 80’s feel to it, just in time for the Summer and those laid back drives with the top down into the sunset. Right on!
