Judy Cheeks wants you to “Let Your Soul Dance”
Funk-Dance-Soul
This Summer is bringing all the new music to the surface and another of our great friends Judy Cheeks has also delivered a brand new tune, “Let Your Soul Dance”!
This is Judy’s first new recording since “Same Pain” early last year and takes Judy back to her Funk/Soul sound of the 1970’s but with a splash of 90’s Dance in there just to make it extra fresh.
“Let Your Soul Dance” is a juicy five minute long groove that will make you feel good and help you chill this Summer with memories of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” that adds a Disco sparkle to the track. It’s the first to be released on Judy’s new label, Pose Music, as Judy hooks up with her new manager and producer Rory Nicoll and producers RMN and JusJez. The two producers from Scotland have started working with Judy Cheeks and rumour has it there is a lot more coming…and we certainly look forward to hearing it when it does come!
The song is both hypnotic and refreshing as Judy repeats her message to let your soul dance, no matter what. “Let Your Soul Dance” takes Judy back to her Club and Dance days in the 1990’s when she achieved chart hits with “So In Love (The Real Deal)”, “Reach” and “Respect” as well as blending in her own heritage from her early days as a recording artist.
Make sure you check out Judy’s recent podcasts with the RMN Podcast where she talks about her life in music, her influences and her friendship with Tina Turner. It’s good to have you back Judy and in fine form, the lady still loves dancin’!
