ANNNA releases “Freddie”
“Freddie” is an energetic, nostalgic dance track by the upcoming Dutch/Latvian artist ANNNA. The main story in the track is about a girl and her Teddy Bear who were told that everything now a days is possible, however, that’s not entirely true. ANNNA produced the track herself during the first weeks of quarantine while observing whather friends are going through these days.
The artist is known to write about specific teams that bother her, such as global warming, fast fashion and millennial problems. In the last twelve months, the twenty-five-year old ANNNA has managed to not only be the warm-up act for the American singer LP, but also to perform at the Eurosonic Festival, win the Amsterdam Dance Event’s Demolition and get featured in Mixmag magazine.
ANNNA’s long-awaited release of her EP: “Mortgage On Toast” will be released on November 13th. Meanwhile, she’s been playing several concerts in the Netherlands due to the fact that she’s one of the local, OOR music magazine’s Popronde talents this year.
ANNNA is from Amsterdam. Sustainability, burnouts and equality are some of the topics that she covers in her music. In October ANNNA won the Amsterdam Dance Event’s demo competition with her song, “Stardom/Hater” with such legends as Dave Clarke, Eli Iwasa, Joseph Capriati, Kristin Velvet, Todd Terry and Mike Mago in the jury. This win landed her a three day studio experience at the W Barcelona Sound Suite together with the Dutch DJ Mike Mago.
Meanwhile, her song, “The One That Got Away”, became the No.1 played track on one of the biggest radios in Latvia. ANNNA’s third single, “Polyester” received viral media attention on all the biggest Dutch radios, magazines and television shows in the Netherlands. In January this year, ANNNA played a killer show at the ESNS 2020 Festival, which resulted in her first summer festival tour. Due to the current crisis, the singer instead has scheduled several unique live-stream experiences and new single releases.
