Australian born, London based producer Ed Colman has just released his remix of Eurythmic Dave Stewart and Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer’s 1990 hit, “Lily Was Here” under the working name of ‘Swipe Twice’, giving the song a laid back clubby feel to it but losing nothing of the haunting charm of the original.
Swipe Twice’s new version features a live sax player fused with Ed’s tasteful and an energetic production. Ed has toured nationally and supported some of the biggest names in Dance and R&B, and has claimed two number ones on Australia’s ARIA Club Chart as well as multiple top 10’s with original tracks and remixes for Jolyon Petch and UK dance legends Carl Cox and Soul ll Soul.
“Lily Was Here” was recorded in 1989 for the soundtrack of the film of the same name and became a hit for both him and Candy in early 1990 making No.6 in the UK and No.11 in America as well as being a top ten success across Europe and hitting the top spot in The Netherlands.
