VIEWS: Louise – Six Of Her Very Best Greatest Hits

Louise celebrates 30 years of music, hits and “Greatest Hits”

Louise has finally released her latest and most complete “Greatest Hits” album after many months of teasing with two new songs and a generous helping of ‘reimagined’ tunes as well as some old Eternal classics. Her new collection is her second look back over her solo career since her first, “Changing Faces – The Best Of Louise” in 2001.

The album also includes a number of re-recorded, ‘reimagined’ versions of some of her best loved singles as well as a handful of songs from her short time spent with the girl group Eternal in 1993-94, who will celebrate their 30th birthday later this year with their debut single, “Stay“, which was released in September 1993. Louise went solo after the group’s debut album “Always And Forever” produced six UK top twenty hits and sold over 1.2 million copies in the UK alone.

Louise herself made her own debut in September 1995 with the gorgeous ballad “Light Of My Life” and the hits flowed for the rest of the decade and into the early years of the 21st century. The new “Greatest Hits” collection takes in her work since 2001 which started with “Pandora’s Kiss” in 2003 right up to her 2020 comeback album “Heavy Love“. The album includes five brand new songs: “Right Now”, “Feel”, “Hurt” as well as the previously released “Super Magic” and “High Hopes“, AND a recording of Janet Jackson’s 1997 single, “Together Again”!

Here are our favourite six from Louise’s career so far…
