Author: Studio DJC

Photographer. Blogger. Light chaser. Studio DJC is where I explore what moves me — whether it’s a moody portrait at golden hour or a story told through sound and lens. Based in the UK. Always looking for the next moment to capture. By profession, I help keep people safe when things go wrong. I work with South Central Ambulance Service, a job that’s as intense and unpredictable as you’d expect—but also one that’s sharpened my instincts, deepened my empathy, and taught me just how powerful a calm voice can be in chaos. But behind the radio headset and late-night shifts is a creative who’s always chasing stories—through words, through photographs, and occasionally through abandoned ruins with a camera in one hand and a ghost app in the other. I’m currently studying Arts & Humanities with the Open University, diving headfirst into a world of philosophy, culture, literature, and history. It’s reignited my love for writing—especially creative and journalistic work. I’m not afraid to tackle the big questions, but I also believe in writing that connects. Whether I’m exploring secularism in post-revolutionary France or capturing a fleeting moment of golden hour in a field somewhere—I want what I create to mean something. To spark curiosity. To linger. I’ve got a particular soft spot for photography that tells a story—wildlife, landscapes, and the raw emotion of street scenes. There’s magic in the mundane if you look hard enough. I’m currently levelling up my videography game too, rig and all, as I prepare to shoot my first wedding next year. (Let’s hope the bride and groom cry for the right reasons.) When I’m not writing essays or editing Lightroom shots at 3am, you’ll probably find me working on creative writing projects, diving into story-based games, or brewing ideas for combining mental health and art into something powerful. I’m also building a digital toolkit to keep all the chaos in check—because let’s face it, a creative brain needs more than just coffee to function. My dream? To work in journalism or editorial, specialising in music, photography, or culture. The kind of writing that makes people feel something, and maybe even see the world a little differently. This site is a bit of a scrapbook, a bit of a showcase. A place to share work, ideas, experiments—and a few unfinished thoughts too, because that’s where the good stuff starts. Thanks for being here. Stay curious, stay kind—and if you’ve got stories to tell, let’s swap notes.
